Greeting Collaborators!
The Critical Social Research Collaborative has been busily planning workshops, film screenings and our annual conference for the 2011-2012 academic year.
In November we are collaborating with the Canadian Labour International Film Festival (CLIFF) to bring the festival here to Ottawa! Stay tuned for more specific details on screenings, which will be held weekly over the course of the month.
Towards the end of the semester we will be hosting a seminar on critical feminist research. The tentative date is November 30th, at 3:30pm at Carleton University. Again, more details to come soon.
The CSRC's next planning meeting is scheduled for 5pm on Thursday, October 27th, at the Sociology Lounge at Carleton University. All members are welcome to attend! We hope to see some new faces at this meeting, and we'd love help in organizing this year's events. There is talk of heading out for a bite to eat and a drink afterwards.
