Announcement! VOTE in the Divestment Referendum

[The CSRC Executive Committee has endorsed the following announcement from a fellow student group on campus, Students Against Israeli Apartheid]

Dear CSRC member,
This Wed. March 21 and Thurs. March 22, the Graduate Students' Association will be holding its annual general elections and referendum questions. We encourage all graduate students to go out and vote!
Workers and students should have a voice in how our university is run. For several years, members of the campus community have called on the Board of Governors to divest, via its pension fund, from companies complicit in illegal military occupation and other violations of international law. Currently, the university is investing in such corporations as: Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Motorola and TESCO Supermarkets.
Northrop Grumman and BAE Systems produce military weaponry and profit off of war.
TESCO Supermarkets sell goods from illegal Israeli settlements established in the occupied Palestinian territories, contrary to Article 49 (6) of the IV Geneva Convention, and to the economic detriment of the Palestinian people.
Motorola provides the Israeli military with equipment that has been used to commit war crimes. Its products contribute to the construction and maintenance of the wall, unlawful settlements, and military checkpoints. All these have been deemed illegal under international law.
Let's send a strong message to the administration, and demand that it divest from illegal military occupation!

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE IN THIS REFERENDUM - TODAY OR TOMORROW!
